The Department of Commerce was established in 1992 with the launch of the B.Com. program. In response to evolving industry needs, B.Com. (Computer Applications) was introduced in 2000, followed by B.Com. CA (Revised) in 2018, and M.Com. (Computer Applications) in 2011. The department has since grown into a vibrant academic hub, known for its commitment to excellence in commerce and business education.
Staffed by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members, the department consistently fosters an environment of academic rigor and innovation. Faculty actively engage in research, book publications, and regularly contribute to peer-reviewed journals. Their participation in national and international conferences ensures that they remain abreast of contemporary developments in the commerce domain—knowledge they impart to students in the classroom.
