Microbiology

Established in 1995, the Department of Microbiology has been a center of academic and research excellence, offering a comprehensive suite of programs including a 3-year Undergraduate degree, 2-year Postgraduate degree, and M.Phil. in Microbiology.

The department’s academic framework is designed to provide a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of microbiology, with a curriculum that is regularly updated to reflect emerging trends and advancements in the field. The core focus areas of the department include:

  • Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR)
